Parsley (Petroselinum Crispum)

parsleyParsley is almost always used fresh. American cooking uses parsley mostly as a garnish, while European and Middle Eastern cooking uses it almost as often as salt! The stalks are essential in a bouquet garnis and it's finely chopped leaves are often used in many sauces and a number of butters. Parsley grows easily, but you must remember to trim it often if not, the stalks will grow long long with just a few sprigs of leaves at the top.

Some recipes using parsley :

Tabbouleh (a Middle Eastern parsley salad)
Herb butter
