      1/4 lb. unsalted butter (at room temp)
      1 cup sugar
      2 eggs
      1 tbsp. coffee*
      1 teaspoon vanilla
      1-3/4 cups flour
      2 tsp. baking powder
      1 tsp. baking soda
      1/2 tsp. salt
      1 cup sour cream
      1 cup chocolate chips
      *We're talking liquid, here, not powder.


    In a large mixing bowl whisk the butter and sugar together. Beat in the eggs one at a  time until well blended. Stir in the coffee and vanilla. Mix together the flour, baking  powder, baking soda and salt. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating  with the sour cream, until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake for 50 minutes in a  preheated 350o oven.
